After moving to Cotchford and sobering up as a result of the drug trials, Brian was determined not to get himself in the same trouble again to the point of paranoia. A fan and good friend of his, Helen Spittal, witnessed this firsthand when she came to visit him and he was delivered a bottle of medications.
Brian was most insistent that I saw the bottle with him, read the details on the label of what the tablets were, the dosage and everything so that I knew there was nothing untoward about them.

He even asked his gardener, Mick Martin, who ran a Bible class for children, if he could come and speak to them.
I’d like to come one Sunday, Mick, to talk to your kids, to tell them that it might look like I’ve got all the money I want, that I can go anywhere and do anything, but my life till now has been rotten. I know it seems to them a world of complete pleasure, but they should know what it’s really like.

There is no denying the severity of Brian’s experience with illegal substances, but, contrary to popular belief, Brian did make an attempt to rid his life of drugs because of the emotional turmoil he underwent during the drug busts. Though he may have sustained somewhat of a drinking problem, he could not handle the idea of being caught again and put in prison.
As I have stressed before, I do not own any of the photographs or gif files I post. If you find a scan you have uploaded or one you know someone else has, please let me know so I can give credit. Same for gifs: if you have put together a gif you’d rather me not use or you want credit for, please tell me.
If I tag something wrong or mess up any information, I’d greatly appreciate if you alerted me as soon as possible.
Also, if you happen to have any questions about Brian Jones himself, I cannot promise to have all the answers, but I will help out as best as I can.
Thank you!
